Work goes on.

Artist: HASEGAWA Asuki + Namonaki Sanemasa

Title: Unfinished Feed
Material: Projects, bulletins, online records
Year: 2025 〜
Statement: Unfinished Feed is an ongoing project that remains unfinished.
The whiteboard installed in the exhibition space is not just a simple bulletin board—it is connected online, allowing information to be added or revised throughout the exhibition period. What is presented here is not a completed work, but traces of the thoughts and processes of Hasegawa and Namonaki Sanemasa.

Several prototypes of sound installations were created prior to this work, including flickering acrylic panels and continuously vibrating display platforms. After
experimenting with these various approaches, we ultimately decided to have a proper musical piece produced. The music has not yet been completed, but it will be available online after the exhibition. The whiteboard itself also functions as a speaker, designed to play the music once it is ready. At the moment, no sound is being transmitted, as the terminals are not yet connected. Even so, a faint noise causes the board to tremble, giving it a presence despite its apparent emptiness.

This work, however, is not simply “unfinished.” It exists as a kind of open space—a “shared ground”—before something is fully created. Through this shared ground, viewers can witness fragments of ongoing thought and process. Therefore, no definite conclusion is established at the time of the exhibition. What matters is that the movements of the creator’s hands and the gaze of the audience intersect gently, forming a space that holds significance within this exhibition.
